ABOUT THE ARTIST

Kelly Thompson was born on the 7th of January, 1973 in Perth, Western Australia. Shortly after, her family relocated briefly to Carnavon where they lived and worked on a banana plantation for a time, only to return to Perth when she reached nine years of age. To this day she resides there with her partner and their three beautiful daughters.

It was because of her young girls that she purchased her first digital camera and began teaching herself photogaphy. Then approximately two years ago she started enhancing her images in Photoshop and found a passion for exploring fantasy photo manipulations. For Kelly there's nothing better than the looks of amazement on her daughter's faces as they see themselves as a pretty faery in a far away land - or maybe taming a wild unicorn. The limits of exploring her imagination is at times endless.

In the near future Kelly hopes to take her art to the next level and transfer it from a hobby to a profession. This would be a dream come true. Although on the other hand witnessing people enjoy her art alone is a wonderful exchange in and of itself.
